The Kids

I finally got my favorite pictures of the kids off of my iPad and here are a few with some explanations.
So many fun and exciting things have happened for my Kayla bug lately.  I have been asking her if she's wanted to get her ears pierced since she was 5.  She would get all excited and say yes, but would quickly change her mind and say never mind.  The Saturday before her birthday she came and told me that she wanted her ears pierced.  I thought when we got the the mall that she was going to chicken out, NOPE.  She got right up into the chair, picked the earrings she wanted and got her ears pierced like a BOSS!  She didn't even cry!  Super impressed with my brave baby!
The following Thursday was her birthday!  She turned 6!  So grown up!  She was super excited to go to school because the whole Kindergarten was going to Black Island Farms to the "Pumpkin Walk".  She thought for sure that they were going for her birthday.  She loved it and even got to bring home a pumpkin.
During the week of her birthday it was red ribbon week.  She had such a great time participating in all the fun they had that week.  She especially liked crazy hair day and pajama day.
AND THEN as if turning six was not growing up fast enough she went and lost her first tooth on November 3rd.  She thought she needed more money so she went and pulled her second tooth two days later!
James is my wild and crazy side kick.  He misses his big sister while she is gone to school so we try to have some fun to pass the time.  The last few days the weather has been so nice so we have ventured out of the house with baby.  Thursday was a great day!  We dropped MaKayla off at school, ran to a couple of grocery stores, went to the library, over to Franz (to get his favorite cookies) and then to Burger King to get an ice cream cone and fries.  He loved it and had to tell Dad about every second of his great day.
Ari is growing up toooooo fast!  It's breaking my heart!  She is such a joy.  She is a great eater and loves to see her siblings.  She loves when Daddy comes home and follows the sound of his voice until he comes to see her.  She is a smitten kitten, so I call him Boyfriend for her.  If that's her first word, I might die (from the cuteness).
We went to the doctor on Friday and she is super impressed by my above average baby.  That's right people, above average!  The numbers don't lie.  She is in the 90% for her head, length and weight.  She is amazing!  She is 12 lbs. 7 oz. and 23.5 inches long.  She is so long that we are going to have to start putting her in 3-6 month clothes very soon.
